My 1st encounter with Stories Telling

Stories telling, my understanding is that a person in front of audience and narrates it stories to them, that is what I seen most of the time. Most of the storyteller, got no impression in their face, but not from here. We need to have facial impression, must take of the tone of the voice, the movement and etc.

I have came prepared with a story as well as 3 questions.

Questions:

1. Is the stories done by the therapist and reads to her audience of the other way round?
2. What do I want to learn form this module?
3. Can we blend both stories telling and SWP?
4. How can we blend bot stories telling and SWP?

My story:

APPRECIATION

One day a very rich woman took her daughter to the kampong, to stay with her poor cousin family. The reason being that she wants to show her daughter that how the poor lives, so that she will appreciate what she had at home by comparing the rich and the poor, the have and have not.

After staying there for oneday, while on the way home, she asked her daughter, "What do you think of my cousin home?" and, she got a surprised answers, her daughter replied, "Well they are much better than us, you see,

1. they have 4 dogs while we have only 1,
2. we have lamps in the garden, but they have stars in the skies which glazing into the garden,
3. they have endless beauticul green fields, but we only have a small fenced up garden,
4. they have a long natural stream to swim in, but we only have a treated small swimming pool.

There are 2 moral in my story, appreaciation and looking into different angle.

The mother wants to teach the daughter to appreciate what she has, and the daughter looks at things in a different angle from the mother.
